Mindset: The New Pscyhology of Success Book Study
Workshop (45 Clock Hours)
This course is designed to introduce teachers to the importance of Carol Dweck’s work on mindset. The workshop will use the book- Mindset: The New Psychology of Success. In the book, Dweck explains why it’s not just our abilities and talent that bring us success–but whether we approach them with a fixed or growth mindset. She makes clear why praising intelligence and ability doesn’t foster self-esteem and lead to accomplishment, but may actually jeopardize success. The course is targeted for educators in the K-12 grade levels, including special education, administration, and instructional coaches.
